Parents Weekend

Coming October 2010

When the students and faculty have all gotten to know each other, are well settled into their rhythms and routines, and have work to show, it is time to invite parents back to campus for Parents Weekend in mid-October, often when the campus is in its New England glorious color.

Parents Weekend is an opportunity for parents to meet each other, the teachers and staff, and friends of their sons and daughters. During the weekend, there are receptions, a Parent Association meeting, a gathering with faculty and staff, and a meeting with class mentors. Parents can also schedule individual meetings with teachers.

Student art work and projects from the fall are displayed everywhere. Music and eurythmy performances as well as soccer and Ultimate Frisbee games permeate the weekend. And of course, in typical High Mowing style, there is a lot of good food to be enjoyed!

During the weekend, parents are invited to show their support for the school by participating in the Annual Fund campaign to meet a challenge grant offered by other parents.

The school community always feels much more complete after a Parents Weekend!
